Review of TinyGiant Life AirCrete Tiny House Workshop

One night late I was falling down the YouTube rabbit hole and I got to looking at tiny houses and their prices.  Somewhere along the way I found a playlist of how to build these cute little orange tiny-houses using something called AirCrete.

At first I just really liked the little houses, but then I started watching how the building material was nothing other than cement with air bubbles puffing it up.  I thought to my self how interesting.  So, late into the night I learned everything I could about AirCrete.  Some people called it foam-crete.  Apparently its actually called cellular cement.  Its ben around since the 70's and commercially comes in the form of AAC or Autoclaved Aerated Cement.  Its mostly fire and pest proof.  Something that has been a problem for me in my wood house.

I didn't even know just how badly I wanted to have my own house, but I didn't think I could ever afford one until I saw the video of these being built.  So I purchased the introduction to AirCrete video course over at tinygiantlife.biz. This was a real eye opener and I actually started to believe I can do this house building thing.  However, I did not want a dome, or a round house and I really did not want an tiny house either.

After reaching out to Daniel at tinygiantlife.biz I discovered that there was another video course that covered everything about building rectangle shaped houses of any size.  Perfect!  I bought he course and was blown away by the details included.  I had not even thought about how to put in plumbing or how to wire my toaster oven!  This course covered everything I need to know to make a functioning house and it was presented in short simple to grasp concepts.  Now, I knew I wanted to build my own house!

Having no experience with using much more than a drill to hang pictures I knew I had to up my game and pick up a few more skills and I wanted to see a real AirCrete house and feel it.  You know experience it.  As luck would have it there was an AirCrete workshop coming up in a month and my vacation time from this and last year needed to be used.  So, after cringing that the long trip I looked around the web for other events.  Most were out of the country or hosted by people that just did not seem like they actually used what they taught.  Everything kept leading back to the Terlingua School of Alternative Building.   Daniel has years of construction experience with real houses, and he actually lives in AirCrete Buildings. After considering the price I once again bit the bullet and bought my ticket.

Fast forward two months and I was beside myself near the Mexican boarder in Terlingua Texas in the middle of NOWHERE wondering what I had gotten myself into.  Daniel and family was very welcoming and friendly.  They got me tucked into our AirCrete room which I had rented for the event and it was NICE!  The next day 30 other people showed up and we hit the ground running and quick introduction, overview and our hands were in cement making AirCrete and casting it into a new tiny house.

I thought I had come to learn only AirCrete, but this was SO MUCH more than just an AirCrete class!  This was the missing manual of building a real life hand book.  I learned to wire a house, build a solar power system, install and air-conditioner, and worm composting toilets.  Then in the evening I made new friends and learned about trust, laws, and a range of knowledge that I never knew existed. Makes me hopeful that one day I will handle these complicated matters.  Just knowing there's hope in the fiction world of legal matters is a breath of fresh air.

This workshop for building an AirCrete tiny house was probably the best decision I have ever made and even though I glad the price was under two grand I feel like I received far far more from this course.  It was easily worth twice the price.  No kidding, a great buy in my opinion!

AirCrete Tiny House cast as one monolithic building

Now here I am with the start of the first room of my new AirCrete House.  I'm not going to say its easy it is work, but man does it feel good to see this plan coming together!  Its SO worth it.  I can not wait to move out of my apartment in into my own paid for home!  I will finally be free of rent!

Heck, I may not even have to work a job soon!  I'm also learning to build an online business with the business manifest course also offered at tiny giant life.

Daniel truly has a caring heart and really does want people to get free and live a better life. He is sharing a wealth of knowledge and experience that is insanely deep.  I have not been able to find a question that he doesn't know the answer too.
